Krayin CRM

Purpose

Self-hosted open-source CRM for leads, contacts, opportunities, activities, quotes, products, pipelines and extensible business workflows.

Decision Summary

Strong open-source CRM candidate under MIT, but keep Assessment Pending until CSI completes a controlled pilot, security review, extension audit and restore test.

Use Cases

SME CRM; lead and opportunity management; sales pipelines; contact and organization records; quotes; products; activities; custom fields; API integrations.

Field Notes

Pilot with synthetic data. Validate ACL, upgrades, extensions, mail, APIs, import/export, monitoring, backup and timed restore before client use.

Hardware Requirements

Official: 3 GB+ RAM, Apache or NGINX, PHP 8.3+, Composer 2.5+, MySQL 8.0.32+ or MariaDB 10.3+. CSI pilot recommendation: 2 vCPU, 4–8 GB RAM and SSD.

Backup Strategy

Encrypted, versioned backups of database, uploads, configuration, secrets metadata and custom packages; maintain onsite/offsite copies and test restores.

Recovery Strategy

Rebuild from pinned versions, restore database/files, reapply secrets, run migrations, then validate ACL, pipelines, email, APIs, attachments and exports.

Secure Boot Notes

Not applicable to the web application; Secure Boot is an underlying server/platform control.
